How did this happen? Saskia was too stunned to move. Too stunned to speak. There was blood. So, so much blood.
But what shook her the most...was watching Colleen drowning in her own pool of blood.
Not again. I don’t want to see this again.
Thoughts of Isabel and Farlan littered across her mind. How Farlan waved goodbye, how Isabel called for Levi before she was brutally cut off.
Why do I always lose all the ones I care about? Why?
And now, the experience, the tormenting thoughts...it was starting to resurface; only this time, it was Colleen’s turn.
“I’ll never forget the day we met,” Colleen had smiled kindly at Saskia that day, “And whatever it may be: fate, god, or perhaps it was only a mere coincidence...I’m glad that we did.”
She was always there. Always.
And now...she’s just going to disappear?
“I don’t think we’ll ever know what happens next. But I believe that everything happens for a reason.”
She remembered coming to Colleen the day after Levi arrived.
“He’s going have the work cut out for the Survey Corps, don’t you think?”
Colleen smiled sheepishly, gesturing for Saskia to come sit. The green-eyed female complied, and Colleen began combing through the soft dark locks.
“Perhaps. But who knows? He could be the one you spend the rest of your life with.” The comment was so blunt, so innocent, so teasing, that Saskia momentarily lost her voice.
“...Excuse me?”
“You guys are different, but similar. It’s just a feeling, but I sense a strong connection between you two.”
“Erwin will have your head if he heard that.”
“I won’t argue with that fact,” Colleen’s laugh was akin to the twinkling of stars as she continued. “He does always approach things logically.”
“And are you saying that’s a bad thing?” Saskia asked, turning in her chair to eye the blue-eyed female.
“Not at all,” Colleen had just finished with the braid, tying it with a ribbon produced from her own pocket. “I’m just saying that there’s some things that can’t be explained with logic. And one of those things...is love.”
I never knew how strongly those words would resonate with me now.
But that doesn’t mean I wanted to say goodbye.
Colleen didn’t believe in goodbyes. And recalling now, Saskia had never once heard her utter a farewell.
“I’ll see you later, Saskia.”
“No..!”
Saskia woke up with a start, but firm hands kept her from sitting up.
“Thank god you’re awake. You were thrashing and crying in your sleep; I thought you might be having a seizure.”
“Levi…” Green eyes met steel orbs, and she knew reality had been pulled back to her. It was only a dream...or rather, a memory.
“Did you have a nightmare?”
“No, it was…” she trailed off, but Levi seemed to pick up on her thoughts.
“Was it about Colleen again?”
She could only nod.
Levi sighs and sits up, pulling Saskia into his lap. His arms fold over her, and he rests his head on top of her head.
“I didn’t get the chance to become acquainted with Colleen properly, but I do respect her,” he starts, “We talked once, maybe twice, but from those two meetings, I knew she wasn’t a shithead like the rest of the Corps.”
Saskia lets out a bitter laugh. How Levi-like to make her feel better by being himself. But his next words almost made her heart stop.
“The last I talked to her, she asked me to watch over you.”
“When did-”
“Let me finish.” Levi cuts Saskia off, turning her in his lap so that she would look him in the eye. “She asked me to do that, but only if I watched over you out of pure genuity. If not, she asked that I ignore her request.”
“And you…”
“You can put two and two together.” his eyes meant that nothing more needed to be said. That she had already confirmed it, that he had confirmed it. “She was in our life for a reason. Don’t forget that.”
Saskia nods, and Levi lays them both down on the cold sheets, where moonlight peeks through. She can see her eyes reflected in his, and he can see his in hers.
You were right, Colleen. Thank you...for bringing us together.
“So on the off-chance that we do become a couple, shall we propose a bet?”
“I don’t gamble when it comes to the game of love,” Colleen winked teasingly, but she seemed sure about something. “However, should you two come together…
...I can say intuition won over logic, yes?”
It looks like you lost to Colleen before the bet could even be proposed, Brother.
Even in death, Colleen smiled. In death, she looked at peace.
Levi and I too...we will not let Colleen die. We will...prove you wrong.
And standing a little aways from all that bloodshed…
...Was Erwin.
So please. Keep on watching over us, wherever you are.

Cheater!Levi x Artist!Reader |Paintings|
"This one looks quite nice. How much for it?" A young woman questioned, her dainty fingers reaching down into the depths of her purse, and bringing forth a nicely stitched together wallet. You walked around the counter towards her, and inspected the colorful canvas she was speaking about. Swirls of apricot colored paint contrasted the cooler color palette of the rest of the piece - it was one of your favorites. The sun reflecting on a nearby pond at nighttime. You had never expected anyone to want it, however, since it was one of your first paintings. Because of that you didn't have a set price.
"Uh, I'll take practically anything for it." Y

Criminal (Levi x Reader) Chapter 1
The tavern was unusually crowded that night. Never had you seen so many soldiers in one place, fifty uniforms all emblazoned with the blue and white Wings of Freedom. They belonged to the Survey Corps, and had returned once again from another (presumably) failed expedition. They had suffered heavy losses as usual, and many were here to forget the trials they had been through. Some, however, were bolder, openly celebrating their success of returning in one piece. One such soldier was drunkenly boasting his skills, claiming he had killed fifty Titans unassisted.
“Tch, yeah right,” you said under your breath, rolling your eyes at th

Procrastination.
A faceless demon that mercilessly paired up with karma so that whatever action you had ignored would somehow bite you straight in the ass. To you, taking a titan head on seemed more inviting than endless loads of paperwork. You could think of nothing worse than sitting on a wooden chair that felt as though it was truly made of broken glass armed with an itchy quill that would ultimately lead to hand cramps. Finding reasons to negate your clerical work as a lieutenant had been surprisingly easy, mostly because of your lack of pickiness over what task needed done.

For TaoAndThen!! This really came together after reading your latest chapters, and I know it was originally meant to be a Levaskia fic (small portion included), but when I started writing, it became a friendship fic between Colleen and Saskia that also alludes to our friendship~ So I hope you don't mind. I have loads more to say about Levaskia anyway, so expect future random gifts or edits to this piece.
And to the cover that inspired words. Listen, listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOFhat…
And did I just allude to Erwin killing Colleen what??
